Guild Chronicles: Desk-Side Tales

Character Art: Mero
Younger brother to Rea, he worries about her a lot, especially as she constantly walks into dangerous ruins without care.
When she is injured, he will go into a berserker-like state to ensure her safety.

Character Art: Rea
Older sister to Mero, she is a happy-go-lucky character with a deep love or arcane ruins. She sometimes gets upset with how over protective Mero can be, resulting in her leaving him behind at times, making him worry even more.

Item Art: Arcane Lock
Found in the old ruins, the sigils have to be pressed in a certain order to unlock.

Background Art: Arcane Cave Ruins

Client Work: Wicked Tier 1 Design

Worked collaboratively with my client to design then illustrate this character.

Workflow
This was an interesting character design since we're starting at Tier 1, at the beginning of their journey as an adventurer. The outfit reflected their more humble beginnings and the pose was meant to show off their martial prowess, making them look powerful.

Client Work: Luthor Character Design

This was a really fun project where I got to design the armor but then also put in the background elements to hint at the life this particular character has led.

Workflow
There were a lot of iterations at the initial design phase. The character has been through many battles back-to-back so I wanted to explore a few where he looked tired, dragging his gear, feeling the weight of it all. He's also confident in his abilities and strength, capable of wielding his large sword and shield even though his physique doesn't seem capable of it.
His outfit design is based on him taking random pieces from the battlefield when the previous ones break.

WIP: Project Tejora

Environment concept art for a WIP game. The main idea behind these concepts was to capture the look and feel the Creative Director had in mind and making notes so that we can keep the style consistent throughout the project.

Having a clearer sense on style, I was also tasked with illustrating what will become our Art Diorama test scene. This involves staging items to get a feel for the level and then also creating the turnaround for the 3D Artist to work from.

This was an earlier mood piece to get an idea of what the boss room could look like.
